The Ingsoc Party of Oceania (IPO)

The Ingsoc Party of Oceania is the governing body of Oceania. Following our leader, Big Brother, we have succeeded in achieving things that no other society has done. We have abolished democracy, ensured the freedom of our people, and we have defeated the people who dare to stand against us; and we will continue doing so for the rest of eternity.  

What does IPO mean?

IPO stands for the Ingsoc Party of Oceania. Ingsoc is the Newspeak term for English Socialism. Ingsoc is the way for the party to free the people, and spread our love for Big Brother. Ingsoc is used to keep our people safe and to make sure our people stay untarnished from the animals of the outside world. We the Party are the ones who enforce the rules Big Brother has created to protect us and we weed out anyone who goes against Big Brother. Oceania is a superstate that includes the Americas, the British Isles, Australia, and others. 

The Savior: Big Brother

Big Brother is the embodiment of the party and our rightful leader. He was "the leader and guardian of the Revolution since its very earliest days" (Orwell 45). He has kept us safe for centuries and he will continue to do so as long as we remain dutiful subjects and submit to his will. Big Brother has guarded us from the creatures of the outside world, he has saved us from the influence of the Eastasians  Eurasians and has united us with our allies the Eurasians  Eastasians.  Big Brother taught us the ways of Ingsoc which has paved the road to prosperity for Oceania. All hail Big Brother;
